We were honored to be invited by YB Wong Shu Qi to bring the aroma of Malaysia into Parliament. The visit aimed to share the story of Malaysia’s homegrown coffee, inspiring recognition, support, and a stronger voice for Malaysia’s specialty coffee nationally and globally.
Silver Award at the International Cocoa of Excellence Competition
Our homegrown chocolate earned the Silver Award (2nd place) at the International Cocoa of Excellence Competition in Paris, showcasing Malaysia’s craftsmanship on the global stage. This recognition highlights that Malaysia is capable not only of producing award-winning specialty Liberica coffee but also world-class chocolate, opening new opportunities in international markets.
4th at the World Barista Championship 2025
Malaysia achieved 4th place at the World Barista Championship 2025, with Jason Loo competing on Malaysian-grown Liberica coffee. Through extensive collaboration and innovative processing, MY LIBERICA crafted the competition coffee that earned high praise from judges, marking a major breakthrough for Malaysia’s specialty Liberica on the world stage.

Hugh Kelly secures victory in the Australian Barista Championship using our beans, and later claims 3rd place in the World Barista Championship in October of the same year.
Offical Debut of Signature Chocolates
Besides coffee, MY LIBERICA coffee processing facility also handles cocoa grown within the plantation area. Initially established for agricultural tourism, the cocoa plantation aims to explore the fermentation linkages between coffee and cocoa for enhanced processing techniques and flavor profiles.
Developing Anaerobic Process with World Champion Sasa Sestic
Collaborating with the 2015 World Coffee Champion Sasa Sestic on his competition with participant Hugh Kelly (ONA Coffee), we developed new coffee fermentation technology (Anaerobic Process).
Established the 7th coffee shop in Dato Onn Industrial Area, Johor. It also serves the purpose of roastery and MY LIBERICA’s office.
Cultivated cocoa, one of the world’s three major indulgence crops, allowing MY LIBERICA to not only produce local specialty coffee but also conduct research on refining local cocoa into premium products.
Launched agritourism at the Processing Mill, allowing the public to experience the production of local specialty coffee.
Took over the family coffee plantation located in Kulai, Johor, spanning approximately 20 hectares.
Established MY LIBERICA, and set up the first in-house coffee roastery in Taman Molek, Johor Bahru.
